Since kayaks vary considerably in size and weight I suggest that to start you check your G6 owners manual or consult with your local dealership to verify the roof weight-bearing capability for your vehicle. It is quite possible that a given kayak, plus the weight of the kayak carrier and the roof rack you choose, could exceed a vehicles roof weight capacity. Once you have confirmed the G6 has the capacity you need for transporting your kayak then you can choose a rack and carrier.

None of these systems requires drilling like the permanent installation variety; all utilize a clamp-style attachment to secure onto your vehicle roof.
