Is there a class 2 trailer hitch that is compatible with a 2023 Kia HEV not PHEV or EV? If not what is compatible? There is no listing for this model, only EV, PHEV, and conventional gas powered

There's no class II but there is a class III. For your 2023 Kia Niro HEV, the correct hitch is going to be the Curt item # C77NR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Kia with included hardware. I checked with our vendors this is the only one available that will fit the HEV.
A class III is better. It has a 2" receiver that will give you more options for accessories.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
