Question:
While pulling my camper the 7 pin cord got cut. I am wanting to use some butt-connectors to temporarily fix until I get home. Is it ok to cut and splice or do I need to cut anything off or unhook anything to safely do this? Thanks

You will be fine to use some butt connectors like the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector # DW05744-5 for 16 to 14 gauge, # DW05745-5 for 12 to 10 gauge, or # DW05743-5 for 22 to 18 gauge to repair your 7-way.
Just remember that whenever you do any electrical work on your vehicle, you'll want to disconnect the battery to be safe. Whenever you're done working, just reconnect your battery and you'll be all set.
