Can 7-Way Kit # 118283 Install on Ford F-150 with 4-Way is Additional Wiring Required

Question:
if I install this on a truck without towing package, but there is a 4 way flat connection, do i need to run a blue wire separately to the OEM brake controller to make the brakes onthe trailer work?

The 7-way kit part # 118283 when installed on a Ford F-150 with a 4-way the brake output circuit is present and would not require additional wiring.
