Troubleshooting A Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock Installation That's Causing The Remote To No Longer Work

Question:

I connected the red wire to the green and the yellow to the blue wires, but now, the truck open light stays on and the remote function is not working on #PL8675 for Honda Ridgeline 2017.

Pop & Lock does show the red and green being paired and the yellow and blue wires being paired, but in my experience it's always best to test the wires for their function. Most likely you're spliced into something else and will need to do some testing to find the correct wires in for your specific model. To do this you'll need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and will bite into the wires and press the unlock/lock buttons until the tester lights up.

You'll also want to check your fuses to ensure you didn't accidentally blow one splicing into the wiring and kill the sensor that reads the signal from the remote.
