Can the Valterra Double RV Waste Valves # T80 Be Rotated to Face Down

Question:
I bot a used Thor Omni sv34 and have been tortured by dumping black and gray water. I have the Valterra valve assembly, rotating 3” x 1 1/2”. The terminal outlet is facing down at a 45 degree angle rather than directly down to the bottom access hole. It’s too close to the door and whether I take the hose out the door or thru the bottoms hole I create a real shitty problem. When I connect a dump hose and have tried every connector available, I must finagle, pinch and twist the hose to the outlet spigot limiting the flow of waste and return air to drain the black tank. The release valves are not inline with the terminal outlet as the images show. They are 45 degrees up from the outlet spigot which are easy to access but before I try unscrewing the assembly, I’d like your advice. Can I loosen the screws on both sides of the closed valve and rotate the terminal outlet toward the bottom hole? Are there concerns, such as seals, I should need to replace? Am I better with an alternative?

Yes, you can undo the bolts on both sides of the closed valves of the Double RV Waste Valves # T80 and rotate it to face more down towards the hole. I am not sure how closely aligned that would make it because you'd have to rotate it to the next hole, not just exactly where you need it.
You can see in the product photos that the # T80 valve typically has the handles coming straight out by the terminal outlet (like you pointed out), meaning whoever installed that valve has already rotated it. This should not cause damage to any of the seals in place.
The outside parts of the valve that connects to the pipes of your RV will be cemented on, so you would not be able to rotate the entire unit. But, you can rotate that middle section like you are wanting.
