Question:

Hi, Have A 2020 Jayco 317 rlok 5th wheel camper. Right side license plate light went out. Took apart and had purchased 328-003-85L for replacement. Light on camper has 4 wires and this one only has 3 wires. Cant find 4 wire light. What do I do??? Thanks,

Most likely the old light had the light functions all separate whereas the LED Trailer Tail Light w/ Reflector and Bracket # 328-003-85L has the stop and turn functions on one wire. The first thing you'll need to do is determine the functions of the wires you have there. You can do this by connecting to the truck with your trailer's 7-way cable and then going through the functions (stop, turn, tail lights) and touching the wires with a tester # PTW2993 to see which light up.

The wire functions for the # 328-003-85L are as follows:

White wire is the ground
Brown wire is for the tail lights
Red wire is for the stop and turn lights

If you find that your stop and turn functions are on separate wires then you can just splice them together and connect them to the red wire of the # 328-003-85L.
