Question:

I have a 1999 Silverado lx 2500 6.0 L, Im looking at a Reese tow hitch for sale and I cant find this particular model info. Reese 37041HD Rating plate says Max Tongue 500 Max Trailer 5000 V-5 Its 3 pieces main and two frame adapters Can you tell me if it fits.

What you are looking at there is the Reese class 3 multi fit hitch 37041. That hitch is probably about 20 years old. We do not carry this hitch here at etrailer, but I was able to find some specs on the Reese website. There is a fairly long list of vehicles that this will fit, but Chevy Silverado is not on that list. It is mostly Chevy express and GMC savanna models that it fits. I will include the link for you below if you want to take a look.

That being said, if you need a hitch for your 1999 Silverado 2500 I recommend the etrailer class 3 hitch # e98849. This will have the same weight rating as the Reese hitch you are looking at, and it is an easy bolt on install. I do recommend buying a new hitch rather than installing a hitch that is almost two decades old.
