Question:
i just purchased a 2014 ram 1500 6.4 box. i was looking into replacing my old fifth wheel hitch with a new one, had looked at a reese pro series 16k, was wondering if you had an opinion on that particular hitch, my second question is about the new ram, i was made aware that there is a difference on the frame from the 2013 to 2014 model and was told that rams are harder to install a fifth wheel hitch, have you heard something about this, my ram doesnt have the air suspension but is 4by4.

There is a rail kit available that will work on your 2014 Ram 1500 without air suspension. Check out the Curt Fifth Wheel Installation kit part # C16306-204. This rail kit is compatible with Curt fifth wheel hitches. For a 16k slider hitch I like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ S20 Slider # C95DR.
The jaws of this hitch provide 360 degree contact with the king pin to minimize jarring and chucking.
