Is it Normal for Older King Pin to be Smaller in Diameter Than MORryde Pin Box for 1621 MR64VR
Published 07/13/2023 >
Question:
I have noticed that the king pin on my Lippert 1621 diameter is larger than the MOR/ryde RPB72-1621 HD03. Will this be a problem when hooking up to my Pro Series 16Kinch hitch. Looks to me like the smaller king pin will get wrapped tighter with the latch than the Lippert 1621 making a tighter fit. Is that a correct assumption? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
King pins do wear out over time which causes them to get slightly smaller in size. Especially if the hitch they are used with allows more movement like your Pro Series hitch. So the MORryde part # MR64VR would work great and you have nothing to worry about. This would create a tighter fit like you mentioned as well.
