Hello, Does this winch rachet in both directions? I am building a racing kart lift and need the ability to lower the lift with some control. The kart is only 150 pounds. The attached photo is not the completed lift. There will be a vertical support to attach the hoist. Thanks

Yes, the Buyers hand winch # 337HW800S does indeed ratchet in both directions. It has both a ratchet and free wheel function that works both in and out. This winch should work well for your application. It is cut out for up to 800 lbs so a kart like yours will be lightweight for a winch like this.
