Question:
can you wire a wishbone wire to regular 4 way? Need to replace the 4 pin connector and wondering if I can use a regular 4 way, 4 wire replacement connector with 4 wires. and wire the two browns on wishbone to the one brown off the regular 4 way?

Yes, you can definitely do that! Here are the parts I recommend using:
- Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull Harness # HM48114
- Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector Kit # DW05744-5
The Easy-Pull harness makes it easy to disconnect your trailer wiring due to the ring-shape of the connector, and then you'll just put both of the running light (brown) wires from your trailer into the same end of one of the butt connectors, and the running light wire from the Easy-Pull into the other end of the butt connector. This will then send that signal to both sides of your trailer lights.
