Recommended B&W Fifth Wheel Hitch For A 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty With Prep Package

Question:
I have a 2022 Ford F350 shortbed and I bought the demco slider for it and my 2022 Keystone Montana 3121RL fifth wheel trailer. I am not that happy with it so investigating a BandW fixed hitch. I know I cannot get a 90 degree turn but around 80 would be good. My other choices are the Anderson super lite but I would like a standard hitch. I have a friend with a 2022 GMC Denali short bed towing a 40ft Jayco pinnacle and had no issues. However Im reading the GMC offset the fifth wheel 4 inches to the rear of the truck. Dont know if this is true or not. Can you recommend the BandW fixed for my application? Understanding that I cant get a full 90 degree turn. If that is not an option what about the Reese sidewinder pin box?

You have it listed that you have the OEM prep package and 6-3/4' bed so you could use the B&W Companion OEM 5th-Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3300. You definitely won't be able to make a 90 degree turn with a fixed hitch at this bed length but you can measure to see how much of a turn you can make. You'll need to make a plumb box and tape it to the outermost corner of the trailer nose and measure from there to center of the kind pin. From there you set your tape measure in the jaws of your current hitch and put it out to the length you had from the trailer. You can turn the tape measure and see when it contacts the truck cab to determine your turning clearance.
You'll most likely want to swap to a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder since it moves the pivot point back but you'll first need to determine your bolt pattern. There's typically a sticker on the pin box or near it that lists the serial number and RPO number, which we can use to determine the bolt pattern. If you don't have this sticker then you can also use the attached help article below to measure for it. Once we know the bolt pattern we can find the correct Sidewinder and wedge kit for your application.
