Will this lock secure my tailgate without any modification to the lock or the tailgate hinge?

The Pop & Lock Pickup Truck Tailgate Lock # PAL9900 is a near-universal-fit stainless steel tailgate lock that is designed to install on a range of late model trucks (with the exception of certain imports). Installation is simple and requires no tools or modifications to the lock mechanism or to your truck tailgate.
I have linked three videos to help illustrate this product; one is a review video that shows the features, the second is construction of this lock demonstrates installation and use, and the third was made by the manufacturer.
The # PAL9900 comes complete with two keys and carries a 1-year warranty.
