You list a 300 lb capacity. Is that the static or dynamic capacity? Id like to use this for a tent.

The 330 lbs weight capacity of the Thule Caprock Platform Roof Tray # TH48YE is the dynamic (in motion) rating. This will be perfectly safe to use with a roof top tent.
