If your tires are worn out and needing to be replaced then I recommend using the Loadstar ST185/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1ST79 and letting some of the air out of the tires when you're on the beach. You can keep a portable air compressor like the Bulldog Winch Portable Air Compressor # BDW41002 to then fill your tires back up before you get back on the road.
By letting out some of the air you'll be able to get better traction on the sand, and since this is a bias tire the sidewalls will be stiffer so overall it's the best tire for what you're needing to do.
The only way to get a wider tire is to actually upgrade the size again but at that point your tires might be too big for your trailer and you'll run into clearance issues. As long as you're paying attention when letting out some of the air and making sure everything is still okay then you'll be perfectly safe to go this route.
