Question:
Im installing a trailer hitch Curt 13315 on a 2023 Mazda CX-5. The front bolts are supposed to go into weldnuts on the Mazda frame, but there are no weldnuts. Is there a workaround?

First I have linked an installation video for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13315 below. This shows an installation on a 2023 Mazda CX-5 and the threaded holes are located very close to a open hole but the threaded hole is covered with a thin tape making it difficult to see. You will want to make sure you are looking at the correct hole location first.
If the hole is there but does not included a threaded insert you should be able to locate a square hole spacer, carriage bolt and flange nut locally you will be able to use to complete the installation. Be sure to use grade 8 hardware for the installation.
If you do not have any hole I recommend contacting your local Mazda dealer to see about having the holes drilled in the correct location and if possible to have the weld nuts inserted as well.
