Is there a bike rack that will work without the hitch option? My car does not currently have a towing package.

Vehicles like your 2013 Audi Q5 that have a rear roof-level spoiler can pose a challenge to fitting a trunk-mount bike rack. However, you can use the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier, part # HRF2. This unique 2-bike carrier is designed expressly to be compatible with roof-line spoilers by its use of upper arms that extend above and over the spoiler.

If you need to transport more than two bikes you may be best served by installing a hitch receiver to allow use of a hitch-mount rack. The advantages of installing a hitch are that the weight burden of the rack and bikes does not rest on the vehicle, but rather on its frame; you can use the hitch for other accessory items such as a cargo carrier; you also then have the capability to tow.
