Question:

I have a 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD I have been looking at flat tow kits parts it is a little confusing. I believe I may have found some of the parts but do not want to miss anything. Can you list recommend parts necessary. No brand preference. I will need everything. Can you list item part or sku numbers so I can easily locate and put in cart. Thank you.

I would be happy to help you set your 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD up for flat towing. I total understand there are a lot of options and the manufacturer's parts sometimes do not like to work together. To flat tow your Sierra you will need the following parts:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar - item # e94ZR

Base Plate Kit - Demco Classic Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms item # DM9517321

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39524

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter.
