Is Drilling/Boring Required for Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Upgrade Kit for Single Axle Trailers

Question:
I have a 2019 Apex Nano 185bh and ordered the wet bolt kit to upgrade and eliminate creaking. When I took it to the garage, they said they’d have to do some boring with a drill to fit the new bolt and sleeve. Does that sound correct?

The Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Upgrade Kit for Single Axle Trailers part # K71-358-00 comes with bronze bushing that have an 11/16" outer diameter and 9/16" inner diameter. They will be used to replace the nylon bushings inside the old leaf springs and equalizers. If the existing bushings have an 11/16" outer diameter which is the most common, there will be no drilling/boring required. I can't think of a reason for drilling if the existing bushings are sized properly. I've never had to drill or bore for any of the bronze bushings I've installed.
