Question:
Tekonsha Prodigy p2. Have controller hooked up as diagram states. Using 12 gauge wire, except for ground which is 14 gauge. Everything turns ok and displays as it should. Pulled manual lever and blew 25 Amp in-line fuse multiple times and trailer is not hooked up. Does not blow when brake pedal is pushed.

Thank you so much for your purchase directly from etrailer.com of the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. If fuses are blowing when using the manual override that probably means there is a spike in voltage on the brake control wire. Unplug the unit and check for any bent pins on the controller. Also inspect the factory wiring for any exposed or damages sections that might be causing the short, as that can lead to the voltage spike as well.
