I was wondering if this snatch block would work well with a soft shackle? I understand the pulley is intended for synthetic.

Yes, you can use a Soft Shackle # BDW20311 for connecting to an attachment point for the Bulldog Winch Snatch Block # BDW48SV. The only consideration is this particular shackle is rated for less than the snatch block if you are pulling towards the higher end of the weight capacity.
