How Much Clearance Is Needed For The Telesteps Telescoping Pull Down Attic Ladder To Fully Extend

Question:
what it the clearance needed at the base when ladder is down. I have 5 feet between the all and the built in fireplace. Our ceilings are 8 ft 6 in. Thank you

When the Telesteps Telescoping Pull Down Attic Ladder # TE84FR are fully extended you would need roughly 4-5 feet of clearance as the ladder will angle out more the further it has to extend. With you having a 8-1/2' tall ceilings the ladder would need to fully extend and should leave you with plenty of room in the 5' distance you have.
