Can Module Go Bad on T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for 2019 Ford Escape
Updated 05/02/2023 | Published 04/30/2023 >
Question:
My trailer lights do not work at all. Installed your trailer hitch and the custom wiring harness last fall on 2019 Ford Escape Titanium. Initially worked but don’t now. Fuse is good. Tested there is power back to module. Also reseated ground wire making sure it was on a non-painted surface. Looked at all the wiring and do not see any issues. Can module go bad? Please advise. Thanks.

It's unfortunate but yes, the modules/converter can go bad and they are usually the first thing that does. I know this is frustrating but one of the biggest reasons they fail is they become detached and are left dangling by the wires which causes them to pull off the circuit board. I recommend using two types of attachment, the double sided tape that comes with and a self-taping screw through the top hole. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118802 you have is already the best option for a 2019 Ford Escape so I don't recommend changing anything.
