Can The B&W Companion Slider Base Be Installed Backwards
Published 04/26/2023 >
Question:
Does it matter whether the install is done with the slider release lever being on the right or left side? Looks from the pictures that this could allow for the trailer to ride more in front of the axle and would just require mounting the head the other direction.

The base of the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3775 is only designed to be facing one way, with the slider release on the driver's side. Flipping the base around would have the sliding position on the base closer to cab of the truck which would shorten your turning clearance and defeat the purpose of the slider.
