Does Curt Rockerball Have to Be Used in Curt Ball Mount/Hitch

Can the Curt Rockerball be used on any hitch, or does it have to be a Curt hitch specific for the Rockerball?

The Curt RockerBalls like the part # C40047 do not require the use of a Curt ball mount or trailer hitch. They can be used in essentially any brand of ball mount or hitch.

i have the curt rocker ball and gen-y glyder. I dont think this will work unless i do something to the baseplate,
