Does Kuat Switch Ski Rack Lock to Prevent Theft

Question:

Im interested in the Kuat Switch ski carrier. I watched the install video and seeing it mounted to the roof rack there doesnt seem to be any way to prevent theft. I looks like anyone with an allen key can remove the rack? Also can this be connected to the track in my Malone aero 2 roof rack? Thank you

Correct, there is not a locking deterrent to your roof rack for the Kuat Switch 4 Ski and Snowboard Carrier - 4 Pairs of Skis or 2 Boards # KU94FR.

The Switch does have a lock for the skis/boards as they are in the carrier, but not for the rack itself. This does fit your Malone aero roof rack, but if you want a ski carrier that locks to your roof rack, you would need either the Kuat Grip Ski and Snowboard Carrier # GRR4B or Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7324.

Like the Switch, both of these will also fit your Malone roof rack.
