What is the distance of the space where the Lunette ring will rest on this part? See red arrow in picture.

It sounds like you're trying to determine compatibility of a lunette ring with the Curt Pintle Hook part # C48205. If that's the case, what you need to do is measure the inner diameter of the ring. This pintle hook works with an inner ring diameter of 2-1/2" or 3. These rings usually have a thickness of 1-1/2" - 1-5/8".
I spoke to Curt but they do not provide the dimension you're requesting.
