Can a Pintle Hook Mount be Used in the Rise and Drop Positions

Question:

Is it possible to use an adjustable pintle hitch in a raised configuration? With our Tahoe towing our M101a1 trailer has never been a problem using a pintle hitch. my question is regarding our GMC savana roadtech RV. The hitch is 8inch lower than the Tahoe. Our trailer falls right in between the hitches. The max combined weight of trailer and load never exceeds 3000lbs. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can use the Pintle Hook Mount, # 63059, in either a rise or drop position. If you need a bolt on pintle hook, use # C48205. It has a 10,000 pound capacity so it has more than enough capacity for your trailer.
