Recommended Hitch for a 2012 BMW X6M
Question:
Hello, I found a product on the website that would seem to work. Though it has a note on the page noting an exception to say it does not. My vehicle is a 2012 BMW X6M. The note on the Curt product says “except M”. Though the page denotes it is a fit. Which is it?

I checked with Curt and the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13114 you referenced does indeed fit the 2012 X6M. I wasn't able to find any information on why it wouldn't fit the M models so I am guessing what you saw is a mistake on our website. I have linked the instructions and an installation video below. The instructions even list the X6M at the top.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
