Question:

Does the tongue mounted crossbar work on the MicroSport XT or only the MicroSport base. I know the diameter of the tongue is the same on both but the XT with the collapsible tongue appears to be lower so was afraid the height of the crossbar would be off.

The Tongue Mounted Crossbar for Malone MicroSport Trailers part # MPG4002 isn't compatible with trailers using the Retractable Tongue Kit for Malone MicroSport Trailers part # MPG494. The reason for this as you mentioned is the crossbar height due to the drop design of the tongue kit. That said, if you can find a way to make a spacer and extend the bolts on the mounting bracket it would then be compatible as the tongues are the same.
