What To Do If You Lose Your Storage Compartment Keys For Your Trailer
Question:
My husband and I own a 2016 Coachmen Apex 300BH. We have lost the key to the storage compartment. Do you have any idea how we can get a replacement key? Thank you for your help.

To replace your lost storage compartment keys you'll just need to know the brand and lock code to find the correct replacement key. Each lock typically has a 3-digit code representing what the lock code. For example, the Replacement Key for Bauer RV Lock # BA74MR would be compatible with lock cores keyed to 967.
This code is stamped onto the keys and will typically be on a sticker on the inside portion of the lock. If for some reason you don't have another key with the code and the sticker is gone then you would be looking at a complete replacement of the lock. If this is the case then you would need to measure the door thickness to find the correct replacement.
For example, part # 295-000003 is 7/8" long and can fit doors thinner than it. We have quite a few different sizes available so if this is the route you have to tacke let me know what your door thickness is and I can help find the correct fit.
