Question:
Do you need the compressor kit? Over time, my semi airbags will leak down. How leak free are these springs over time? I dont want to have to stop 3X or more/day to pump them up. How often does the pressure need to be adjusted when pulling the same load? Thanks!

The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709 for your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 should maintain air pressure without requiring constant adjustment if installed properly. Most air systems like this that experience leaks is often caused by poor installation. The air lines need to be cut straight and deburred to ensure you do not damage the seals. Just like with your tires the air pressure inside will fluctuate with temperature changes and at times very small leaks can occur.
Using a compressor kit like the Air Command II Xtreme Duty Compressor # F2549 gives you the ability to adjust the air pressures for different loads more easily if you are not always pulling the same load. It is often much easier to use then having to pull out the compressor/hose to fill the air springs when changing loads. This particular kit includes a small air tank as well as air hose which will allow you to air up trailer tires as well in the event you get to your trailer and find the tires have gone low.
