Question:
Hi, Thanks for the great write up on installing a Brake Controller on a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali with factory tow package. I found two installation guides on your website and just wanted to make sure I follow the correct one: Also, is there a video showing the installation? Probably not needed, since it seems fairly straight forward, but would be nice as a reference. Also, I noticed that each of the instructions above has two separate model nmbers for the Brake Controller, so not quite sure which one to pick.

If you have a 2008 GMC Yukon XL Denali (or even a regular Yukon Denali) then you can follow the video I have linked for the 2011 Suburban. The installation process will be identical.
I have also included a link to our how-to article that explains exactly how to install a brake controller on your Yukon. This includes the under-hood connections that you may need to make in order to make everything fully functional.
There are many different brake controllers out on the market. I prefer the P2, # 90885. This is a proportional controller that applies the trailers brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on the trailer and vehicle.
The P2 is our best selling brake controller of all time because it is easy to set up, easy to use, and its reliable. I have included another link to our info-article on brake controllers for you to view.
