Question:

I have the RAM 3500 dually with the Ram A30 Curt 5th wheel hitch with factory puck system installed. Pulls a GD Momentum 351MS with the Lippert Rhino Box, solid pin. My question is, if the A30 has the rubber shock blocks built into it, would it be effective to pull some other pin box on the 351MS to help chucking or other movements? Such as the Lippert Flex Air? I also have available the Reese Goosebox 20K, But I dont know if it will fit the 351MS pin box mount. Do you have any info on that??

Yes, swapping out your Lippert Rhino with a cushioned pin box will help with your overall ride quality. You are definitely among the majority that can not stand the Lippert Rhino so you've come to the right place. The Curt Flex Air # LC65VR is a great option because it has an adjustable air bag that lets you customize your ride quality by simply airing up the air spring. It also comes with a gas shock as well as a king pin plate that can rotate back and forth against a rubber block to help absorb more roadshock.

It does come at a premium price point though, so if this just isn't within your budget there is also the line of MORryde cushioned pin boxes. The GVWR I'm seeing for a 351MS is 16,800lbs so part # MR83QR would be the correct fit for your trailer. This pin box uses a rubber shear spring and glide pads to allow the king pin plate to slide front to back and side to side to absorb roadshock and chucking. It's a great option but won't be as big of a difference maker as the Flex Air, but is much more economically priced.

The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR is a confirmed fit for the Lippert Rhino bolt pattern and would also be better than the Lippert Rhino due to its internal air bag and dual shock absorbers. That being said you wouldn't be using the A30 hitch you paid for then. This option would give you a better ride quality but with this being the most expensive option I can't really justify the cost for the ride quality difference. I would only go with option if you were wanting swap to gooseneck towing and gain some additional space in your bed.
