You can use our Brake Controller Installation, Starting from Scratch page to install a 7-Way trailer connector on your Scout. You will need an installation kit like our Brake Controller 7- & 4-Way Installation Kit, item # ETBC7, to install all of the functions for a 7-Way connector. You will need to cut off the 4-Way connector on the back side of the 7-Way connector and use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993, to hard wire the Yellow, green, and brown wires to the correct circuits behind the vehicle taillights and ground the white wire.
