What should be the ground clearance of automatic level jacks when retracted for towing? thanks

There is not a clear cut recommended ground clearance number out there. This is because there are a lot of factors to consider from the varying trailer heights to the terrain being traveled.

A good rule of thumb would be 6"-8" of clearance for the front jacks and realistically closer to 8"-10" for the rear jacks. But the more clearance you have, the better.

The Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136 you were looking at will add around 5" to your frame. So to determine the ground clearance you would have, you can measure from the frame on your travel trailer to the ground and subtract 5".
