Troubleshooting Firestone Coil-to-Air-Spring Conversion Kit Deflating in Extreme Cold on 2016 Ram

Question:
I have the 2595 on my 2016 Ram 1500. Experiencing extreme cold of -22. Had the truck in heated shop yesterday to dethaw and drove home fine. Went out this morning to find it sitting on the bumpstops in the driveway. I am very scared to drive in the winter rutted roads with no rear suspension and my nearest shop is 15 miles away. What can be done to prevent this? Airline antifreeze will be added and hopefully the system is fine after purging, but I am ready to go back to stock coils just for reliability. Luckily I am not stranded at hunting camp etc.

The best thing you can do is make sure you have additional air pressure in your # F2595 when the temperatures are going to be that low. According to Firestone, these air springs are tested to -40 so they are able to handle the cold you're experiencing.
If you had them set at the correct psi at a higher temperature you're going to have to add extra air when you know it will reach those sub zero temps. More than likely the shop was heated to above freezing, so you're talking about at least a 50 degree variation. That is why they worked as intended when you left but were deflated after sitting all night outside. Just like tires you have to make those pressure adjustments in the cold.
If you don't already have an onboard air compressor I recommend adding one like the # F2097. This will allow you to adjust the air pressure at hunting camp or wherever else you go. The air compressor is rated for the same temp so it will still work in those conditions.
