Question:
How far away can this be placed next to my RV? Like if I camp in the shade will I have enough length to get this in the sun?

Thanks for reaching out!
You will be able to place the OptiMate Portable Solar Panel with Controller # MA66JR up to 140" (about 11-1/2') from the battery bank on your RV if you have the cords stretched out all of the way. This isn't excessive but it should be enough for you to park in the shade and still benefit from the solar panel kit.
Attached is a review video for you to check out!
