Is A Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch Needed For A 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 Standard Bed

Question:

I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 with a standard bed. Do I need a slider hitch or will a fixed hitch work for me? I have the OEM prep package.

Yes, you will want to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch for your 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 that has a standard sized bed. Using a sliding hitch will prevent the nose of your 5th wheel trailer from coming in contact with the cab or your bed when making turns. If your 5th wheel trailer has a rotating pin box you will be able to use a fixed hitch.
