How Many Miles Does it Take to Break In Gen-Y Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box
Published 12/14/2022 >
Question:
Installed by myself with no problems. CAUTION - it took 5-600 miles for the system to really settle in. I guess the rubber parts take some pressure and use to be most effective. The system takes the jolt off the RV and really softens the chucking that is always going to be there a little. I did end up putting my BandW hitch down to the lower setting and it rides level and with plenty of bed wall space. I have the 2020 Ford F 350 dually and a 2021 Granddesign MS 351

Thanks for the feedback on your Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 # GY46FR! What you experienced is normal and there is a little bit of break-in time for these to really settle in and make a big difference.
