What is the difference between the etrailer and Curt Hitches for a 2023 Santa Fe? Which one do you recommend for my suv or is there a better option?

I would be happy to help you. Both the Curt item # C34ER and the etrailer item # e28AR are confirmed to fit the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. These hitches are identical with the exception that the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish that offers superior rust protection. They are both made in the USA.

I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e28AR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Santa Fe with included hardware. They both have the same installation method and towing capacity but this one will look better when installed. The matte black finish will blend in better beneath your rear bumper trim compared to the glossy sheen of the Curt.

I really like the etrailer hitch because it installs behind your rear bumper and the crossbar is completely hidden. This leaves only the 2" x 2" receiver visible. It has a 4,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. It can not be used with a weight distribution system.

Since you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # CU94FR and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
