Can Vehicle Trunks be Opened with Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Installed

Question:
Jeep Renegade 2019 and I was thinking of buying this but are you still able to use your truck while the bike rack is still mounted on your vehicle

You should not attempt to open the trunk of any vehicle that has a trunk mounted bike rack like the Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack part # Y02637 mounted on it. The trunk would not be able to hold itself up like normal and would potentially slam down and be dangerous as well as the upper straps by hit the vehicle body as it opens causing problems there as well.
The best bike rack solutions for needing trunk area access would be a hitch mounted swing away rack like the Yakima FullSwing part # Y02465 which can swing away with bikes loaded for complete access to this area.
