Question:
I am having difficulty deciding the best size for my trailer. I am going to purchase a “Fastway ONEstep” wheel chock for tandem axle. When I measure according to your guidance, I get a measurement of 23 ¼ inch, measured on a gravel deck from tire to tire. Obviously, the measurement is so close it could be ½-3/4” difference either way. I would like a very firm placement of the chocks to assure minimum chance of movement particularly on sloping driveways. I don’t know whether to purchase the 24 inch or 30 inch model as I don’t know if the 24 inch would be a firm fit or barely making contact. Obviously, I also don’t know if the 30 inch model at 24 inch setting will be too tight or if there is some play involved. Since you can actually see, touch, and measure these, can you get back to me with an educated answer to this. Which will work for me for certain? Thank-you

For your tandem axle trailer with a 23-1/4" measurement, you definitely want to go with the ONEstep that will work with distances up to 30":
- Fastway ONEstep XL Wheel Chock for Tandem-Axle Trailers and RVs - 16" to 30" Long # FA84-00-4150
The 24" model may not be a firm fit since you mentioned there could be a slight difference, so the 30" # FA84-00-4150 is what will definitely work for you; since the arms can be adjusted it'll be a tight fit for sure.
Then when the chocks are in place, you can add some extra security if you like by locking them with the Master Lock Covered, Solid Body Padlock # 131D.
