Will BOLT Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches Fit a 2022 Toyota Tundra
Published 11/29/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2022 TOYOTA TUNDRA LIMITED and my old lockable pin fit my 2006 TUNDRA but is too short slightly for the new TUNDRA. This #BL7023584 lock should fit the new TUNDRA right? Also will the fob key work on the new truck?

The BOLT Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches part # BL7023584 will fit a 2022 Toyota Tundra so long as it does not have a center cut key. If you have a push to start then you'd just need to use the emergency key in the key fob. I have attached a photo below to clarify. That said, the locks when installed are coded to a specific key so you can't take it with you to a new vehicle even if it's the same make/model.
If you find yourself needing a longer pin, you can reach out to Bolt directly for this. I actually got one for my 2020 Tundra to allow for more clearance with the safety chain loops so I know they can do this for you as well. That said, the hitch pin has a rather long useable pin length so this shouldn't' be an issue.
