Adding Rollers To a Trailer Hitch Receiver On a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze To Prevent Digging Into Ground

I have a steep incline driveway that goes to the street. When i back out the bumper scrapes the asfault/street. Is there a way to prevent the hitch from scraping or digging into the street? Note: even when i back out very slowly or on an angle I still scrape. Angle \ \ / or Straight \ ? /

Expert Reply:
To prevent the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11282 on your 2011 Chevrolet Cruze from digging into the street you will be able to add a Mini-Roller # UF48-979022 to the receiver. This could be placed on the receiver tube or you can also have 2 of them welded to the cross tube on the receiver so it will not hang down as far. This roller will roll along the street/driveway rather than digging into it with a sharp edge. Currently we only have bolt on options like the Roadmaster Rollaway Trailer Hitch Protector # RM-050 for a 2" receiver.
