We have spoke with our contacts at Lippert/Venture about greasing their landing gear legs that have zerk fittings and they recommended a white lithium grease like # L11354 for the zerk fitting for the gears and a silicone based lubricant on the exterior of the legs.
There isn't a set schedule for how often to grease the legs. It's basically an as-needed basis. So maybe a couple times a year or if you feel the jacks getting harder to crank.
