Question:

How would you recommend attaching to a hitch mounted cargo carrier? Drilling holes with washers or a larger steel plate in the bottom of the cargo box?

If you want to secure your # 3371712250 to your hitch mounted cargo carrier my first recommendation would be to use straps. If you're looking for a more permanent solution then drilling holes and using bolts and washers would be enough I'm sure without installing a plate in the bottom of the box to secure it.

However, if you are planning to drill holes I would recommend sealing the holes with something like the # LT37467. You wouldn't want to end up with water inside if you're driving in the rain and water is splashing up onto the bottom from your tires and the road.
