It looks to me that the metal box does not connect directly to my wood trailer. It appears that the Plastic light is still the only thing holding the light to the trailer and all it would take it a firewood log to hit the metal box and the plastic would break. If you had made it so the metal box connects to the wood trailer then I would buy this. See my photo attached.

The Light Guard # LG440NP mounts by using the mounting post on the light, or by welding onto your trailer frame, since your trailer is made from wood you can only mount it by using the mounting post of the light.
The Light Guard is made for the Peterson Square Lights # 432400 (left hand) and # 432200 (right hand). These lights come with the wiring for the side marking lighting.
