Question:

I just purchased a 2022 3500 hd Silverado and I have a fifth wheel hitch. I did not order the truck so there is no prep kit on it. Can I put the puck system in the bed or do I need to do the rails? It has the 8 foot bed

I do have an option for you but if they were not installed from the factory, there is no way to add pucks to a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. Therefore, if you want to install a fifth wheel hitch you will need to install a set of above bed base rails like the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16429-204. I have attached an install video I did on this kit if you'd like to give it a watch. These rails will work with pretty much any hitch so long as said hitch is designed to be used with above bed rails. I like the Curt A25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16180.

If you already have a hitch for the puck system, let me know what that is so I can get you setup with a new base to use this with above bed rails.
